PKR solutions is delighted to announce that its Managing Director, Pete Round, will be working with the Luxembourg Government for the next 2 years to develop a Defence Industrial Strategy and the entities to sustain it. Luxembourg has committed itself to increased defence spending and has a world leading industrial base with expertise in Space, Cyber, IT and Medicine to name but a few. The country also has expertise in Logistics and will soon field its own A400M Transport aircraft, a significant practical increase in capability. Its contribution to NATO, EU and defence as a whole show that Luxembourg is ‘punching well above its weight’ and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
PKR Solutions will help to make sure that Luxembourg’s increased defence budget is spent efficiently to advance domestic industry, expand the export market and serve the needs of its citizens. The existence of an industrial and technological base with access to the international market is of strategic importance to Luxembourg and, as the newly published Defence Guidelines ‘Luxembourg to 2025 and beyond’ say, ‘helps the EU and Allies sustain their obligations’.
